Unheard Voices: The Other Side of the Immigration Debate
Immigration continues to be a highly debated topic in mainstream politics. The rhetoric, however, rarely reflects the lived experiences of immigrants themselves. Unheard Voices will highlight stories and experiences of immigrants and individuals directly affected by immigration (documented and undocumented) within and near our community. The event will focus on the reasons that drive people to migrate, their experiences along the way, and challenges and hopes facing immigrants in the US today.
Immigration is not an issue outside of HKS walls. Unheard Voices seeks to bridge our policy discussions with the lived experiences of immigrants who are present in our every day lives and in our classrooms.
