#EmergingUs Headed by Alejandra Campoverdi, Executive Advisory Board Member

In February we were excited to hear about the new Los Angeles Times venture #EmergingUs. The multimedia project is a joint effort between the LA Times and Jose Antonio Vargas and aims to explore “the intersection of race, immigration, identity and the complexities of multiculturalism.” It will feature film, photography, commentary and other digital content and can be followed on Twitter at @EmergingUs. As if that weren’t enough, we are thrilled and proud that Executive Advisory Board member and HKS alum Alejandra Campoverdi was named Managing Editor of the project!

HKS can make the world seem extremely small, as the official announcement of her appointment came from internet strategist, Deputy Editor of the LA Times, and former HKS professor Nicco Mele. We look forward to seeing these Kennedy School leaders pave the way for an inclusive and vibrant media landscape.
