Author Spotlight – David Hernández
HJHP is excited to include commentary by David M. Hernández, assistant professor of Spanish, Latina/o Studies and Latin American Studies at Mount Holyoke College. Professor Hernández earned his Ph.D in Comparative Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley and went on to teach in the Cesar E. Chavez Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at UCLA.
He arrived at Mt. Holyoke in 2012 and now teaches a variety of courses on immigration policy, inequality and Latina/o studies. Dr. Hernández has a book forthcoming, tentatively titled Undue Process: Immigration Detention and Lesser Citizenship.
