Henry A. Ramos is President and CEO of the Insight Center for Community and Economic Development. Previously Mr. Ramos was principal of Mauer Kunst Consulting, a private consulting group specializing in advisory services to the boards and executive staffs of many of the nation’s leading foundations. He has written extensively on various issues related to organized philanthropy and civil society, and his work and opinions have been quoted in leading national publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Crain’s New York Business and Nonprofit Quarterly. Ramos is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where he completed an A.B. in Political Economy (1980) with honors. He is also a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he completed an M.P.A. and founded the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy, and Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley (1990), where he earned a J.D.
